Do you love working with kids? Team Sheeper is looking for Camp Counselors for our Camp Programs at Rinconada (Palo Alto), Burgess (Menlo Park) and Belle Haven (Menlo Park).
Reporting to the Managers of Youth Programming, Camp Counselors are responsible for leading children in our camp programs. Camp Counselors are role models for camp participants. Our ideal candidates exemplify integrity, commitment, respect, responsibility, and cooperation.
Work shifts are between 8:30am to 5:15pm. (Exact shift times vary based on the option you choose)
Responsibilities:
- Lead campers to ensure safe, well-run activities for children in a fun, exciting and nurturing environment.
- Attend trainings as required.
- Know the daily activities and training schedule; keep to the schedule for each activity or game.
- Initiate and suggest new activities that would be fun and enhance campers' learning experience.
- Set up and clean up camp each day in a safe, efficient, cooperative manner.
- Promote safe behavior among all campers, and assure the highest standards of safety.
- Be a professional and responsible representative of the company
- Must be willing to swim with the participants during daily Open Swim.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience as Camp Counselor and/or working with children is highly desired.
- Demonstrates a passion for working with kids and having fun.
- Must be enthusiastic and show your spirit!
- Fantastic communicator with the ability to interact in a clear, motivating and fun manner with children.
- Must be on time and have camp setup before campers arrive.
- Must be a minimum of 15 years of age by June 9, 2025.
- Must be able to commit to at least 4 weeks of summer programming
- Must be able to commit to every day for the week you sign up to work (Monday-Friday).
