If you love to swim, enjoy working with children, and want to make a difference in someone's life by teaching a life-saving skill, then this is the opportunity for you! We are looking for year-round Swim Instructors to join our fantastic team! No experience is necessary. We will train you and give you the opportunity to teach your students the most important life skills through swim lessons. We operate year-round and offer flexible schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to teach proper swimming technique in a safe, positive and appropriate manner to various levels and age groups in accordance with the company's instructional guidelines (We will train you!)
  • Ability to demonstrate and explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices.
  • Excellent communication skills with your team, leaders, and patrons
  • Be present 15 minutes before your first and last class to allow for set-up/clean-up of Swim School equipment, shift brief/debrief, and communicate with Swim School staff as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6-12 month commitment
  • Must be able to teach in water for at least 3 hours
  • Clean background check
  • Must be a minimum of 14 years of age by June 1, 2024
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and enjoys working with children!

Other Qualifications:

  • Compassionate, enthusiastic, and enjoys working as part of a tight knit team
  • Experience working with children and creating a positive environment for their development is a plus
  • Some knowledge of all 4 strokes
  • Previous experience in an aquatic environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
